Monuments of Babi Yar

Babi Yar was the site of the largest single mass-killing of the Holocaust. But, remembrance of the slaughter has been problematic ever since. The Soviet poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote in 1961:

"No monument stands over Babi Yar.
A steep cliff only, like the rudest headstone."

Many small, independent, and disconnected monuments have been built since then, but are the perfect example of the battle of historic memory in Ukraine.

Duration: 2-2.5 Hours

Cost: Introductory Rate of $30 for groups of less than 5, $40 for groups of more than 5.
